This is where I felt like my schedule was the most packed in the semester. Right after finishing midterm season, it was important to celebrate the different events coming up! For example, Megan (one of the girls in our Yonsei group of eight) had her birthday in May. That weekend, we went to both of Korea's most popular theme parks: Everland and Lotte World. It was fun to dress up in the school uniforms at Lotte World and pick out headbands to wear.
As I mentioned in my About Me page, I am happily a part of the extracurricular scene at Shidler. Both myself and Christina are in the Business Executive Society of Tomorrow (BEST), which is a general business club focused on improving members' personal and professional skills. We call our members "BESTies," and I have been super lucky to have lots of BESTies visit Korea so far! These past couple of weeks, Aiden and Ocean came to Korea for the weekend as they are currently studying abroad in Japan. We were able to spend time with them for a couple of days and found a great chain for all you can eat pork bbq (Gangnam Pork).
One Day 82, myself, Christina, and Kristy left for Singapore. This trip was particularly exciting because none of us have been to Singapore before. While another short weekend trip, I feel fortunate for my class schedule that allowed me to travel like this. I organized my class schedule to have two in-person classes on Tuesday and two online classes on Wednesday. Once we landed, we met up with Roxane (another BESTie) who is currently studying abroad in Singapore! It is a surreal feeling to be able to meet up with your friends in their host country.
