Goodbye Korea: Days 127-134

My final blog post. It feels bittersweet to discuss my last couple of weeks in Korea. If I am being honest, the time passed very quickly. I found myself caught in one of those moments where since I was in this different country for so long, I had compiled such a long list of things I wanted to do but never got to. I had thoughts like, "I wish we went here" or "I wish we ate this."
A funny anecdote: whenever Christina and I would spend a day at the dorm, even after being out less than 24 hours ago, we felt that a day was wasted. Yet thinking about the study abroad memories now, I find myself coming back to those little moments: fighting for dryer machines on the basement level, having yet another EMart struggle meal after a day of shopping, or even just sitting on the floor and chatting about random things. Those times are just as precious to me as sightseeing throughout Seoul and beyond.
Knowing my mom would come up to visit me marked the end of my study abroad. We went to Busan, Jeju, and finished with a couple of days in Seoul before flying home. It was my first time going to Busan and it honestly became one of my favorite parts of Korea. Even now, as I am back home in Hawaiʻi, I still get videos recommended to me about new pop-ups in Seongsu or concerts coming to KSPO Dome. Not that I am necessarily sad at the sight of these videos, but the entire experience does feel surreal. It is almost that feeling of, "Wow, I really went there," especially when things back home have not changed at all.
I hope to continue making blog posts with interesting stories, culture shocks, and guides to Korea!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to read through this. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about my time abroad.
