Last Day of Snow: Days 29-42

Can you believe that Day 30 marks my first full month in Korea? I feel like time flies very quickly here, especially when I have the chance to go new places and try new things every single day. It would not be another two weeks in Seoul if it was not jam packed with activities. We experienced our last snow on Day 31. One of my friends mentioned that it would snow from 12:00am, so we braved the cold air that night and took lots of pictures. As just a few girls from a small island, it was exciting to see soft snow falling.

Fortunately, I have not been homesick because of the wonderful people I have been surrounded with! I did not mention it in my past blog posts, but I am actually studying abroad at Yonsei with seven other girls from UH. Of the eight of us, seven are at Shidler so I knew a good majority of them before leaving Hawaiʻi. It is such a valuable experience to study abroad with my friends. I think my time in Korea would have been very different if it were not for the people that make me still feel at home. Living at SK Global has been great too (so happy to not be in a goshiwon by myself).

Reflecting back, I do wish I took better notes of the names of the places I went. While I have records of the popular places, there are some cafes and smaller businesses I remember strictly from the pictures but could not tell you the name of.

Here are the past couple of weeks' highlights:

Insadong

Insa Central Center (Miffy Museum, Line Friends Store, KTown4U Store), Ssamzigil Shopping Center

Ikseondong

Solsot, Cheongsudang Cafe, Ikseon Shooting Range

Myeongdong

Din Tai Fung Restaurant, Cafe Poem, More Shopping

Itaewon

Rain Report Cafe

Hongdae

Archery, Arcades, Crowded Buses
